Example Creative Support Programs
These examples demonstrate how creative support sessions can be tailored to suit different participant goals, interests and support needs.
Example 1 – Participant Who Enjoys Painting
Participant Interests
The participant enjoys painting and has expressed interest in developing their creative skills while participating in meaningful and enjoyable activities.
Support Activities
Creative support sessions may include:
• learning painting techniques
• exploring colour mixing
• creating artworks on canvas
• developing confidence through creative expression
• completing artworks for display in their home
Expected Outcomes
Through structured creative sessions the participant may:
• develop a meaningful creative hobby
• increase engagement in purposeful activities
• build confidence and independence
• experience pride in completing artworks
Example 2 – Participant Experiencing Anxiety
Participant Needs
The participant experiences anxiety and benefits from calm, structured activities that support relaxation and emotional regulation.
Support Activities
Creative sessions may include:
